Tastings
Tastings at RoughStock Distillery are led by our Whiskey Ambassador and last approximately 15 minutes. The tasting will include a brief history of our company as well as information about our process and each of our products. We know that everyone has a different pallet, which is why we love for you to sample each of our products and let you determine your favorites.
Montana law allows us to serve up to 2 ounces per person per day.
Cost is $5 per person. Includes up to 2 ounces of any combination of our whiskeys
as well as a $5 coupon that can be used in our retail area**.
Visitor Center
From the viewing window, the Whiskey Ambassador may walk you through our process and explain our production equipment to you. Our Visitor Center is well stocked with plenty of whiskey related merchandise as well as t-shirts, hats and other “Montana Whiskey” products. We are also allowed to sell 1.75 liters of alcohol, per person, per day for consumption off site. So, pick your favorite and take some home!

Tours
Tours of RoughStock Distillery are led by our distiller and last approximately 45 minutes. The tour will include a guided stroll through our production area, barrel house and bottling line. Expect to be entertained with a look into the history of our company, a glimpse of our process, and the occasional history lesson on whiskeys in general. Questions are encouraged! At the conclusion of the tour, you will have the opportunity to purchase a tasting and hear all of the finer details of our finished products – and of course, choose your favorite!
Tours are available on Fridays at 11am and 2pm, by appointment ONLY.
Reservations are only available by calling the distillery and confirming with your name, a phone number and the number of people in your party. The distillery can be reached from 11 – 6 Monday – Saturday at 406-551-6409. Please note that space will be limited to 15 attendees and space is first come first served.
All Tasting & Tour guests are required to have a valid ID with proof that you are at least 21 years of age, so please don’t leave it at home! No ID means no whiskey and that’s just sad.
