The Barrel Mill Tour

Josh “Dawg” Keehr, our whiskey ambassador went on a tour of our barrel manufacturer’s facility – The Barrel Mill when he was home for Christmas ‘09. Thanks to Rich for the tour!!!

  • Stave lathe
  • Raw planks. Soon to become staves.
  • Storage room. (They also have an entire warehouse of barrels just down the road from this facility.)
  • Toasted & Charred caps.
  • Cap press.
  • Char room.
  • Shaping hoops.Banding press.
  • Belt sander.
  • The Barrel Dawg.
  • Display barrel. (They made a 2500 gal. barrel for the movie Beerfest,....amongst other larger sized models.)
